It seems I am beginning to get the hang of how everything works here on WordPress.
I have to say I`m impressed.

Never thought I could learn to edit .php files with little to no knowledge, goes to show that it pays off to just dive in and do your best.

As soon as I get the look of the blog the way I want it, then comes the fun part, adding all proper categories, content, videos, pictures, etc etc…

Right now everything is a mess, so please excuse it, everything will be sorted very soon.

I`ll edit this post later with something better .

Just wanted to post a small update.

I`ve been busy working on a website project, other than this blog, so that would explain why there haven`t been any recent updates on here, and I apologize for that.

I have some pretty big plans for this blog, and a HUGE amount of new content ready to be added.
Hopefully I will get the free time to upload the new stuff I have.

Other news, doesn`t look like I`m ANY CLOSER to getting and owning a copy of Vista Style Builder.
So my Visual Style projects for Windows Vista, and now Windows 7 are indefinitely postponed, not that that was a surprise to some of you who visit, that know me from deviantART.

All due to a recent “customer” that I`ve designed a website for not paying me, and then I have to turn around and cut my losses, remove my work from their personal web server and move on with life… One day this web business will get off the ground…but I`m not sweating it anymore right now.

So I was kind of hoping that someone out of the kindness of their heart would donate a copy of V.S.B. to me, but my visual style portfolio isn`t impressive enough, nor filled with quality work to justify that cost I guess. And now that just makes me look pathetic or desperate, so ignore this please .

Nice to have a small update on here. So yeah look forward to seeing what random crap I decide to throw on here soon and thanks for your visit!

This version of Aero Theory includes a custom desktop wallpaper pack, arranged by me.

Another final release from me.
I received a lot of positive reviews / feedback on this one.
Besides M11, this is one of my favorite styles that I`ve created, even if it is just an Aero Mod.

Alright another awesome little tool for Vista visual style users.

ABOUT:
Vista Desk Hack is a small .bat file that was recommended to me by a good friend on deviantART, in order to see the names of all installed visual styles on your PC. This doesn`t really matter, unless you apply styles directly by clicking on the actual .msstyles file inside the preferred visual style`s directory…

To make it easier on yourself, always if possible apply any visual style you install by right-mouse clicking on your desktop then clicking on personalize and there you go.

But this small tool also includes an un-install option that works well.

This file, and everything / anything that I upload on this blog is VIRUS FREE. I scan with several virus scanners and I package these files myself, so no viruses trust me. If you don`t feels safe about downloading here just download this tool off Google…or something.

NOTE:
This tool, and the one listed below, are probably outdated, meaning there are “All In One” apps that take care of this now, without having to use this or the other tool below, but this is the method that I use, because….well because it`s free and it only takes a few seconds up to a minute to use and then you`re using visual styles.

About Vista Glazz:

This small tool allows you to patch your “uxtheme.dll” files.
What is that you may ask? Hold on just a second and I`ll tell you :p.

The term “uxtheme files” is just a general term that many in the visual styling community use.

Uxtheme.dll is located in your “C:\Windows\System32\” directory, and it`s ONE of three files that actually have to be patched to use visual styles on Windows Vista.
Here are the names of all three files that need to be patched (for those interested):

• themeui.dll
• shsvcs.dll (the
• uxtheme.dll

And PLEASE, please, do NOT, alter these files if you have no clue what you are doing. Trust me it can cause serious problems for you, and you`ll be sitting there wondering “what just happened?”. Recovering involves knowledge of how to use Windows System Restore, and how to manually replace the original versions of these uxtheme files. Not fun in other words. Just a warning.

So just use Vista Glazz, or one of the other utilites that I`ll get around to listing here soon, and you`ll be alright.

DO NOT REPLACE THESE FILES MANUALLY, it can be done, but DON`T do it unless you know what you are doing.

One quick note:

In order to use any visual style, and that includes mine as well, you have to have Windows Vista Business, or Ultimate Edition. Anything below that will not display the visual styles as they are should be seen.

Now there may be a hack / patch that fixes this problem for “lesser” editions of Vista (i.e. Home Premium, Basic, etc, etc), but I`m out of the loop on that, so forgive me / correct me if I`m wrong on this.

This is the updated and final version of my visual style “Vista R7″.
I renamed it and fixed some things that were wrong with the beta versions, and here it is.
This was also my visual style that went through the beta phase and was completely finished.

This was also featured on deviantART as a Daily Deviation.
I`m thankful for that, and those who arranged for it to get there.
It was my first Daily Deviation ever, and the only one I`ve had since then…
